The millet plant has been cultivated since prehistoric times, so much so that its place of origin is still unclear and has spread to all continents. In Roman times it was a very common cereal for human consumption and was then supplanted by more productive cereals.

The chaff is the coating of millet seeds that is eliminated through the processing processes of the food industries. The chaff obtained is dedusted and is an ideal material for making natural pillows. Since millet is a small cereal, its chaff is just as small and soft to the touch; moving, he gets a light massage. The mill shea padding can be shaped with the hands giving the pillow the preferred shape.

The  cohigh content of silicic acidntained in the organic millet chaff is absorbed by our body also through the skin and for this reason it is also used for therapeutic purposes. Silicic acid is very useful for bones, hair, skin and joints.

To keep the millet chaff in good health it is good to expose the pillows to the air, to the sun and shake them often; in fact, the chaff is able to absorb excess moisture, including sweat, and therefore it is good to eliminate it. The chaff is a living material and can give us a pleasant feeling of well-being and at the end of the cycle it is totally biodegradable.
