Karawan is a French company from Lyon, which revisits the silk road with exclusive creations in the world of hammam baths and hospitality, highlighting natural ingredients and craftsmanship, born from the best oriental traditions. Karawan is committed to an economy of solidarity and a sustainable development approach for the creation of its supply chains in Morocco, India, Turkey, Syria, Nepal and Vietnam.
After 15 years of travel and meetings with people, the founder Christine Delpal, ethnologist and photographer, created Karawan in August 2004. Christine is immersed in the aesthetic universes and in the art of living in the East, and cultivates a deep sensitivity for materials and objects, but also for the gestures and rituals of daily life, respectful of mankind and of environment. An art of living in which the delicacies offered to oneself and others cultivate a universe of sensoriality, like many beneficial journeys for the soul and the senses. A world of inspiration in which well-being is expressed through the richness of nature and sharing.
Karawan supports agricultural and artisanal production with a fair trade approach. Their creations pay attention to the natural ingredients in the soaps and to the noble textures worked by the hand of man for the creation of beautiful Foutas towels in organic cotton.
