ICEA's natural cosmetics are those that, while not containing organic ingredients, boast the most varied features of naturalness.
The main objective of this discipline and certification scheme is to:
- Establish correlation requirements between natural raw materials and clear and verifiable cosmetic products;
- To guarantee products and processes that respect human and environmental health;
- Identify on the market a cosmetic product that meets the expectations of consumers attentive to the environmental sustainability principles of production.
The physical and chemical processes allowed have been selected by reference to the following validating criteria:
- Processes that allow the formation of biodegradable molecules;
- Processes that respect the natural functional substances present in the ingredients;
- Processes that favor good waste management and good use of energy and take into account the ecological balance.
