FSC is an international and independent certification for forestry and forests products (woody and non-woody) and represents the utmost guarantee of the origin of wood and paper. FSC certifications are of two types: forest management certification, forest owners and managers, and chain custody certification for forestry processing and / or trade companies.
FSC certification ensures that "the raw material used to make a wood or paper product comes from forests where strict environmental, social and economic standards are respected".
