Stainless steel

Stainless steel is a ferrous alloy that can remain unaltered even in very humid environments, so in contact with water it does not rust. The advantages of this alloy are surely linked to its resistance over time and to the stresses during its use. Steel is able to resist to high temperatures and in some alloys even above 1000 degrees.

Steel is very common in our homes especially in the kitchen because it is hygienic and easy to clean and does not require special maintenance. Compared to other metals used in the kitchen does not deteriorate with time, this characteristic makes it therefore safe for health.

On our website you will find a wide selection of stainless steel containers for liquids such as flasks and thermos. Who has small children usually has water handy but often use plastic and aluminum containers that are not as stable over time.

Clearly, even steel has some disadvantage inherent in its composition and it is useful to know them for its correct use. In fact, acidic foods, especially if left in contact with the steel for a long time, can alter and contaminate with nickel and chrome (we are talking about very small quantities but to be taken into account in case of allergies). Keep in mind that other metals such as aluminum are also sensitive to very acidic foods.
