Amber has a very fascinating history, in fact it comes from the resin of a particular conifer that has now disappeared for millions of years. With time, this resin has fossilized giving us this marvelous gem with extraordinary gemmotherapeutic properties.

How does it work?

The Baltic amber (succinite) is rich in succinic acid that is released from the amber and absorbed by the skin with the heat of the body. Succinic acid can improve the efficiency of the immune system and can exert an anti-inflammatory and analgesic function.

Amber is not a stone and, therefore, is warm to the touch, and is very comfortable and light to wear. In Northeast Europe and the Far East, it is a very old custom to have children wear amber. Amber is known to reduce inflammation of the ear, throat and stomach and to fight inflammation, infections and respiratory diseases. Traditionally amber necklaces are the least intrusive remedy to reduce the effects of dentition pain and collateral pain, such as lack of appetite, tummy problems, ear ache, fevers and colds. The anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties of amber are also recognized by allopathic medicine; the healing properties of amber include functions: soothing, analgesic, antispasmodic, expectorant and febrifuge (anti-fever).

Today we know that amber is a resin and as such it breaks the electromagnetic fields, considering that we are constantly surrounded by these fields (mobile phones, wi-fi, etc.) amber is a valid aid for protection.
