As early as the 1960s, Engel was producing knitted nappies in bleached cotton. In 1982, with the processing of natural cotton, the exemplary and consistent orientation towards natural textiles began.
Today our collection includes a complete natural system of baby changing nappies, underwear for babies, children and adults, a collection of sleepwear for babies and children, baby clothing and even a small assortment of fleece clothing in soft wool. virgin merino for babies, children and adults.
In addition to cotton from organic farming (kbA), we also process very pure merino virgin wool from organic farming (kbT), a blend of organic merino virgin wool and silk or a blend of cotton (kbA) and silk. All the dyes used are free of heavy metals and therefore free of any AZO dyes that are harmful to health. For the coloring of the wool we use only reactive dyes, which bind in a stable way with the fibers and are distinguished by their authenticity. As far as the treatment is concerned, we renounce any type of finishing. Basically all the materials used must be biodegradable and must not pollute the soil, air and water. All metal parts used are nickel-free and the other materials are natural and regrowing raw materials. To ensure the high quality of our products, specific requirements have been established for resistance to light, sweat, saliva, washing and shrinkage. These properties and the residual limit values for substances harmful to health or pollutants are periodically checked by independent environmental laboratories. Within our management philosophy, alongside human and ecological points of view, also those relating to ecological production and disposal are taken into consideration. Furthermore, we not only make sure that the transport journeys are short, but we also take care of the social aspects and for this we produce in Germany.
As a founding member of the Arbeitskreis Naturtextil e. V. and the current international association of the natural textile industry (IVN) and as co-initiator of an internationally homogeneous ecological textile standards system, we continue to work to achieve high ecological and social quality criteria - for the sake of your skin and the common environment.

Devo dire che è davvero super confortevole e l ho provata anche su me stessa, potrei anche pensare di indossarla come para collo senza avere l ingombro di una sciarpa lunga. Io vesto una S e ho un collo lungo. Il materiale è pazzesco un pail di nuvola
