The aim of the Fair Rubber Association is to contribute to the improvement of the working and living conditions of primary producers of natural latex (rubber). To achieve this, the Fair Rubber Association is a multi-stakeholder initiative and has among its members companies that purchase fairly produced rubber (products) from supplier partners. These companies pay a fair trade premium for every kilogram of rubber they purchase: the association ensures that this money reaches the supplier partners. Products that are traded according to these criteria are distinguished by the display of the Fair Rubber logo.
The Fair Rubber Association was founded in 2012 in Bonn. With its diverse membership, it serves as a platform for cooperation between companies that trade in products made from fairly traded natural rubber and representatives of civil society who advocate for the expansion of the fair trade concept.
