Ethletic - The sustainable sneaker since 2004 and the first in Fairtrade cotton
Sustainable and natural materials, an ethical and ecological production make Ethletic sneakers your conscious choice in terms of footwear. Ethletic for the upper uses Fairtrade certified organic cotton grown by farmers who receive a guaranteed fixed price plus a Fairtrade bonus for educational and health projects.
The sole is instead made of natural rubber extracted from the FSC certified Hevea tree (caoutchouc). This is joined to the upper through a vulcanization process to avoid the use of adhesives and synthetic glues.
Production takes place in Pakistan in factories where Ethletic has created safe working conditions and fair wages.
To reduce CO2 emissions and pollution, Ethletic has chosen to use ships for the transport of goods rather than planes, even if this means 30 days of travel instead of one.
