When designing a new collection, the term 'timeless' is always a priority for King Louie. They rarely look at trends and consider it important that their garments not only have a perfect silhouette and fit, but also that the quality guarantees their durability. King Louie's 'old' items are perfect for clothing swaps or for sale on online second-hand platforms and marketplaces (so you can write off the cost of purchase).
Since 2015, they have been affiliated with the Fair Wear Foundation. This is an independent non-profit organisation that works to improve working conditions in the garment industry. It fights against child labour, for a living wage (wages that guarantee an adequate standard of living, are higher than the legal minimum wage), and for a safe and healthy working environment, to name a few.
