100% sustainable Viscose
Sustainable viscose is made from wood pulp, creating a natural fibre that is breathable and biodegradable. Viscose fibres are produced in a closed-loop system, using wood pulp from FSC-certified forests. The production of this fibre consumes much less energy and water than normal viscose. The cultivation of trees also helps to improve soil quality, prevent soil erosion and retain water. Production in a closed-loop system reduces the amount of waste in fibre production and the fabric production units are equipped with water treatment plants that treat the processing water before releasing it into the environment. Liva is a sustainably produced viscose that incorporates all these elements and the fibres are Oeko-Tex 100 certified. It is a wonderful drapeable, breathable and biodegradable fabric. Both Liva viscose and normal sustainable viscose are biodegradable fibres.
