NATRUE is a German association born in 2007 from the need to provide international certification to provide clarity to the consumer and the ability of the manufacturers to develop on a larger market thanks to the uniformity of the product conformance standards and Of production processes. NATRUE members are pioneers in natural cosmetics in Europe.

First, all cosmetics, natural and organic, and not, must comply with EU Regulation 1223/2009 on Cosmetics. As a result, they must guarantee safety, efficiency and efficiency without exception, so that they can legitimately be placed on the market.

Organic production is governed by Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007.

For the different types of cosmetic products identified by NATRUE, namely Natural Cosmetics, Natural Cosmetics with Organic and Biological Cosmetics, the exact percentages of minimum content required to obtain certification are provided.

Natural Cosmetics: In order to obtain it, the list of permitted ingredients and methods for their processing as well as the limits of the minimum content of natural substances and the maximum content of natural-like substances must be respected. Each type of product has different criteria (eg those applicable to a foam bath are different from those applicable to a cream) due to their different function of use.

Natural Cosmetics with Biological Components: In addition to the requirements for natural cosmetics, 70% of the natural substances present in the product must come from controlled biological sources and / or controlled spontaneous collections certified by a certification body or a duly recognized body.

Biological Cosmetics: More than 95% of the natural substances in the product category must come from controlled biological sources and / or controlled spontaneous collections certified by a certification body or a duly recognized body.
