66% GOTS certified organic pima cotton, 34% baby alpaca
Baby alpaca is a noble and particularly valuable fiber for its characteristics and properties. In fact, the yarn is shiny and silky, extremely soft and soft and at the same time very warm, up to seven times warmer than sheep's wool, it does not pinch and keeps the heat constant by absorbing excess moisture.
Baby alpaca is a very fine and bright yarn and, as it does not contain lanolin, it has a less pronounced odor and is better tolerated by sensitive skins that may have allergic reactions to classic wool. But it is also three times stronger than sheep's wool.
It is an organic, biodegradable, hypoallergenic, highly resistant, silky fiber with thermal properties.
The alpaca wool used for the Karinù garments is hand selected in the Michell farm in Peru. The wool selection technique has been handed down from generation to generation since ancient times. Michell is a pioneer in the Alpaca sector, it is the first farm in Peru and in the world to obtain the Organic certificate for soils, pastures, handling of animals and fibers.
